Your presence is present enough! Having lived together for so long now, we're not in need of a registry - but if you would like to contribute towards our honeymoon fund, we would greatly appreciate it.

There is a car park at Mottram Hall. If you are driving, you will need to drive past the entrance of Mottram Hall to get to it. The roads in front of Mottram Hall are a little confusing, so just follow the signage and you should be fine.

A special guest rate of £174 is available at Mottram Hall for the night of the wedding. Please call the hotel and quote "townend-farmbrough" to book (though it is worth checking online beforehand to see if it's cheaper without the code!). There are also a number of other hotels a short drive away - we've listed a few of the larger ones on the details page.

We are both strongly in favour of all guests wearing clothes. We recommend whatever (clothes) you feel most comfortable in! Kilts are highly encouraged (because they look excellent). The majority of the event will be inside. There will be a chance to go outside onto the grounds, and we hope to get lots of photos there!

The ceremony, drinks reception, meal, and dancing will all be happening inside. Weather permitting, we are hoping to take some photos on the grounds, and the grounds will be available to explore as well.

Unless you're Jake, our photographer, please do not take any photos during the ceremony - we want you to be there with us! Before & after the ceremony, please take as many as you can!

Ceilidh (pronounced kay-lee) is a traditional Gaelic dance. Our band, the fantastic Triple Scotch, will walk us through the steps together. It's similar to barn or square dancing, and can get quite high-energy!
